FAQ

Do I need a licence?

No, under Queensland legislation, you do not require a licence to drive a jetski. However, you must participate in a compulsory safety briefing and be able to read and speak English to follow our friendly guides instructions. No experience is necessary, we cater for all levels from beginners to advanced thrill-seekers.

Do we need to book?

Yes, you must book online at least 3 days before, for all tours using credit cards or JETSKI NOW-PAY LATER option (similar to AfterPay). This ensures your place on the tour is confirmed as they get booked out quickly. All payments for bookings are made online through the website. We are a cashless business.

Cancellation policy and unsafe weather

Please note we have a strict cancellation policy -24 hour during low-peak season and 48 hours during high peak season. This means any cancellations or changes (due to any reason) must be communicated either by phone or email 24 hour or 48 hours before your scheduled time of arrival. For any cancellations made within the 24 hour or 48 hours prior to your tour, we reserve the right to forfeit the tour booking with no refund. You are able to reschedule again, which is subject to a 50% rescheduling fee (which means it will only cost you 1/2 price). If the weather is deemed unsafe (ie: storms or extreme weather conditions) the tour will be rescheduled or fully refunded to our customers.

Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes, to ride our jetskis you must complete the safety briefing, register an account and sign the SmartWaiver. Riders over the age of 18 need their own account to sign the waiver. Riders under 18 will need a parent or guardian to create an account and sign the waiver on their behalf, detailing their name and date of birth.

How many people, per jetski?

We charge per jetski, not per person. You are able to ride solo or tandem and be priced for one person. We recommend only two people can ride a jetski at one time comfortably, with a maximum weight not exceeding 200kg. All riders must adhere to the safe operation of the jetski and follow tour guides instructions and hand signals.

What is the minimum age to have a go?

We recommend the minimum age to be 12 years old with an adult to be a passenger on our jetskis. You must be 18+ to drive a jetski. See our staff for more info.

Are the prices per jetski or per person?

The prices are per jetski. You can choose to ride solo or tandem. If you choose tandem you will only be charged for one person or the price of the tour. You will have the opportunity to swap drivers once. We say, share the cost and share the drive!

How long does my tour take?

Our tour times are stated on each tour description. However, you will need to follow these times:

  1. Please arrive 30 mins prior to your tour to check-in for customer registration, safety briefing and practice ride.
  2. Late customers will not be able to participate in the tour.
  3. Then we start the tour and aim to run on a strict schedule.

However, timings are only ever approximate due to driver experience, weather conditions and group numbers.

What safety measures are in place?

Your SAFETY is our number one PRIORITY. We have experienced local tours guides, ensure weather forecasting, provide daily drone monitoring of crocodiles, and well maintained jetskis. All jetskis are equipped with Australian standard safety equipment. Our team are fully qualified, regularly undergo safety training and drills. We operate under the Maritime Safety QLD guidelines. Every driver must have duty of care for themselves, their passenger and the tour group.

Do I need a camera?

We hire GoPro equipment ($55.00) and provide a photography package ($66.00) to capture your bucket list trip. This includes a SD Card so you can take your special memories home. Unfortunately, we don’t enable customers to take your own cameras or iphone for safety reasons and/or loss and damage.

What to bring or wear?

Depending on the weather, it can be hot or cool. Be sunsmart and prepared for both, wear a short or long sleeved shirt, respectable swimming attire, sandals, take a towel, sunglasses and sunscreen. If you choose to wear a hat, it must have a chin strap. We kindly advise not to wear denim jeans as they can damage the upholstery on the jetski seats. You don’t need footwear (thongs) on the jetskis, but may need it for the hot sand or lunch venues. We provide dry bags for the jetskis. We rent storage lockers for your belongings at our office.
